Mr Giang Tran Minh Thanh
The Chairman of the Board of Directors cum CEO
Mr. Giang Tran Minh Thanh began his career by founding a premium serviced apartment chain in Ho Chi Minh City under the brand name “Gem Apartment”. He has previously served as a senior financial investment analyst at CJ Group in Vietnam, a South Korea’s leading conglomerate. Later on, he became a senior investment manager, managing the commercial real estate investment portfolio of Lotte Group in Vietnam, a conglomerate that owns leading commercial real estate brands such as Lotte Center and Lotte Mart.
In 2020, Mr. Thanh became Country Manager at Kasikorn Vision (KVision) and represented the fund's investments in Vietnam. KVision is a leading venture capital fund in Asia, affiliated with Kasikornbank Group (KBank), a leading financial corporation in Thailand, with a fund size of 450 million USD. As one of the leaders of the fund, Mr. Thanh has been participated in 8 investment deals in Vietnam, including 4 significant deals with total deployment amounted more than 45 million USD.
Currently, Mr. Thanh is the Chairman of the Board of Directors cum CEO of Gem Group Joint Stock Company, a conglomerate with 7 main business segments: banking and finance services, advisory services, international trading, IT services, real estate development, hospitality services and retails.
Mr. Thanh is also the Director of Gem Fashion Company Limited. Additionally, he is a passionate and dynamic venture capitalist, actively investing in startups in Vietnam.
Mr. Thanh graduated “Honored Program”, a collaboration between Western Sydney University (Australia) and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City with a major in finance. He also holds Entrepreneurship Degree of Stanford University (USA) and Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate of Harvard University (USA).
